In Texas, things are pretty much “God, state, beer” in that order. So when Pabst asked us to do a full rebrand for “The National Beer of Texas,” it was basically the third most important thing in the world. Over the decades, the logo, cans, bottles, and packaging had strayed too far from their beginnings. It got the point where a can of Lone Star had six different stars on it. We returned the design to a place much closer to its roots, designed a lone star, and Texans officially approved.
